We married in our early 20s. We've raised four wonderful children. We have worked, saved, bought and sold houses, been through the 'drive and cheer' phase of parenting, and worked and lived in our local community.

We're now in our fifties, and very fortunate to have a 'gap'. Our kids are adulting. Our parents are going pretty well, and we have a strong extended family. We can take leave from our jobs and come back to similar positions. We can even get jobs in in another country. So we are taking a midlife gap year.

We're packing up our belongings, renting our home to a family, and moving from Australia to England for at least 12 months.
